Webinar Recording: Cities and Schools Unite Against Childhood Obesity

This webinar was held Tuesday, February 12, 2013  from 2:00 to 3:30 PM EST and provided viewers with an opportunity to learn how Mayors and school officials are joining together across the south to combat obesity. Mayor Jerry Gist of Jackson, Tennessee, and Mayor Jack Reed of Tupelo, Mississippi shared their insights and their successes. Leon Andrews, Senior Fellow for the National League of Cities and a key leader for Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties facilitated. This webinar was hosted in partnership with Texas Health Institute and Action for Healthy Kids as part of the Southern Obesity Prevention Strategy. Focus was placed on the five goals of the Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties initiative that all communities are encouraged to adopt.
