LMCTC Goal I: Start Early, Start Smart focuses on the important role that local elected officials can play in helping early care and education providers incorporate best practices for nutrition, physical activity, and screen time into their programs.

Let’s Move! Child Care has a wide variety of training modules, slide sets and promotional materials that cities, towns and counties can use to promote the goals of Let’s Move! Child Care to early care and education providers. Use these resources to achieve your medals for LMCTC Goal I!

Some cities, such as Boston, MA, under Mayor Thomas M. Menino, are already working hard to provide a healthy start for kids.
