Some cities, such as Boston, MA, under Mayor Thomas M. Menino, are already working hard to provide a healthy start for kids. Under the Boston Healthy Childcare Initiative, 175 child care programs—serving over 2,000 children total–have received training, earning Boston a Gold Medal in LMCTC Goal I!
