2015 Summer Meals Webinar Series
During summer break, many children who receive free or reduced-price school lunch during the school year no longer have access to those meals because they are out of school. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a federally funded program administered by the States. It was created to fill the meal gap when school is not in session but only about 10% of children who receive free or reduced-price lunches participate in SFSP.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) hosts a summer meals webinar series to help you get started or expand your summer meals program. Topics include the basics of the program, funding and grant opportunities, transportation challenges, engaging rural communities, kick off events, and many others.
