WEBINAR RECORDING: INNOVATIVE CITY SOLUTIONS: INCREASING YOUTH ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS MEALS
On October 19, 2016, the National League of Cities and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in addition to speakers from the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC), the City of Everett, Massachusetts, and Let’s Move! Blaine hosted a webinar highlighting examples of how city leaders are creating opportunities for their youth to access nutritious meals. Presenters shared examples of how afterschool and summer meal programs can support or inspire comprehensive citywide efforts to fight hunger and obesity. Presenters also highlighted the progress they have made as a result of their LMCTC participation and share innovative tools and resources for sustaining efforts to build healthier communities.
