NLC strives at all times to provide its goods and services in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. We are also committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to access our goods and services and allowing them to benefit from the same services, in the same place and in a similar way as other customers.
Provide website services to people with disabilities
NLC is committed to excellence in serving all customers including people with disabilities and we will carry out our functions and responsibilities in the following areas:
Website
This commitment to accessibility for all begins with this site and our efforts to ensure all functionality and all content is accessible to all Americans.
Images on the site contain ‘alt tags,’ which aid users who listen to the content of the site by using a screen reader, rather than reading the site.
There are many resources and text documents available in PDF format that can be downloaded for your use. These resources and documents in PDF format can only be viewed and printed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader®, version 3.0 or higher. You can download and get help using the Acrobat Reader at the Adobe website. The FREE Acrobat Reader software is available for download from Adobe and can be found by following this link: Download Acrobat Reader.
There is a screen reading accessibility plugin available for free from Adobe to be used in conjunction with Adobe Reader. More information can be found by following this link: Access Adobe .
NLC will continue with its efforts to provide continuing support to maintain this website to ensure that it is accessible to people with disabilities.
Communication
We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability.
We will train staff who communicate with customers on how to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities.
Feedback process
The ultimate goal of NLC is to meet and surpass customer expectations while serving customers with disabilities. Comments on our services regarding how well those expectations are being met are welcome and appreciated.
Feedback regarding the way NLC provides goods and services to people with disabilities can be made by submitting an email through the Contact Us page.
Complaints will be addressed according to complaint categories already established in our company’s complaint management procedures.
Modifications to this or other policies
We are committed to developing customer service policies that respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. Therefore, no changes will be made to this policy before considering the impact on people with disabilities.
Any policy of NLC that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or removed.
